What’s new in NEET 2019?
- A new mode of fee payment has been introduced which is e-challan (SBI). Candidates can now submit application fee via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI/e challan.
- NEET test centres for 2019 has increased from 136 to 154.
- NEET exam timings have changed. The exam will be held from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM.
- Open/private school students and candidates who had biology as an additional subject will be allowed to appear for NEET 2019. However, this is subject to the Supreme Court's and High Court's final verdict where the special leave petition has been filed by MCI.
- NTA has provided a fee concession for transgender category students from 2019.
- Aadhaar card is not mandatory for NEET registrations
- To help candidates practice for the exam, NTA has set up Test Practice Centres.
- NEET will held by NTA and not CBSE.
